Dionne Warwick has revealed she’s currently unable to stand or walk.

The legendary singer was due to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York City on Sunday, as part of the Deborah Silver & Fabulous Friends: Voices for ALS charity benefit.

However, the 85-year-old music icon made the difficult decision to cancel the appearance due to health issues.

“I’m sorry to have had to cancel the chance to see you all at Carnegie,” Warwick confirmed in a statement, as reported by Page Six.

“My leg and foot would not allow me to stand nor walk at the moment.”

The I Say a Little Prayer star went on to further discuss her condition as she admitted she was experiencing a great deal of pain.

Warwick also promised to take time out from work duties to focus on her recovery.

“Due to the pain, I just couldn’t do anything other than cancel my appearance this time, as I focus on rest and recovering from it,” she added.

Realising the cancellation would have upset her loyal fans, the Grammy Award-winner asked her supporters to continue to show her grace and understanding.

“Only the pain and inability to stand or walk is the reason for my absence,” Warwick noted.
